Masquerade Ball

Masquerade Ball

A Poem by Aradie Rain

Images dance in my head

As if I were hosting

a masquerade ball.

Each monster

has been cleverly hidden

behind a masks of reality.

I do not know who or what is real anymore.

The demon I have sensed

behind my closet door

Has jumped out and attacked my mind.

Yet I still write

these thoughts

and I am safe for now.

The eyes are watching me.

Hidden beneath their venitian masks.

Sending me horrific films to veiw

I have lost of sense of reality

and I fear there is no coming back.
