Why cant i get away from you

There no hiding these feelings inside anymore

 

Theres so much I want to say

But words just dont come out right

So much I want to tell you

 

I know I should go

keep you safe from me

But im so drawn to you

 

Everyday pulls me closer

To the day I can be in your arms

Let the words come rushing out

 

But for now

I keep them inside

Protecting you from destruction

This is an interesting piece. I am a little confused by the phrasing in it a couple times. "But words just come out right" are you really saying that the words come out correctly, or that they do not come out correctly? The poem seems to be about words coming out wrong and keeping yourself from hurting this person you care about... I think you probably meant that the words don't come out right.

I really like this piece, and I completely understand the feeling. Nice work. Hope things work themselves out soon!
