Still in Love

Still in Love

A Poem by Ice Penada

They asked me if I still love you so of course, I said yes. They looked at me as if I'm the most stupid girl in the world but little did they know, I'm just saying the truth.

I do love you.

Some part of me will always be in love with you and will still care even after all the pain. But certainly not in the same way as before. I love you, like how I learned to love every little piece of me when you left them shattered. You are one of them, a fragment of the past that I should learn to accept in order to give myself another chance to be happy.

You see, love takes many forms and intensity. When I say I love you, it doesn't mean that I still need you like clarity to my insanity. It was the kind of care that is willing to shield you from bullets they will fire. But I won't kill for you anymore. And I won't ever die for you again.
