I never liked the rain

Gloomy, noisy, irritating

They keep on knocking on my roof

But I would never let them in

I don’t want someone else’s tears

 

Then the thunder will roar

The lightning will strike and I’ll stiffen

Like every time I’m scared, numb

Hold on to me please

 

I never liked the rain

But you can vanish it away

With new memories

A kiss, a dance, a song

Just under the rain

 

It may become happy

It may become a beautiful sound

It may become my mantra

 

I would let them in

I would savor the moment

If only you wipe my tears first

Then I’ll be able to cherish the sky’s

 

Make beautiful memories with me

And make me forget that
