False Hope

False Hope

A Poem by Ice Penada

Of all the lies I heard from you

"I love you" was my favorite

Your love was easily blown up

Like extinguishing candlelit

You promised to catch me

But now I guess you won't

You proved that true love exists

But happy endings don't

They kept on asking me

If I still have feelings for you

But why does it even matter

We both know what is true

I am not that weak to plan a revenge

I am not strong enough to forgive

So the only thing I could do

Is ignore the pain and try to live
