I Am Born

Out of tears I am born
A drop,
drowned amidst others

The ripples carry me through,
carry me across
Drops burbling around

I am born
And I am drowned
And I fuse

I embrace silence
My heart kisses death
And more tears come

I am born
And I die.
Tears of my own making

Maybe
It’s only to die
That I am born

Out of tears

Tears that flow
In my veins.

Blood drops down my cheeks
My eyes wallow in a pool
A pool where I am buried

In tears I am born
With tears
I am born

I believe we know pain to know pleasure. Must know sadness to know happiness. Life is a lesson to find peace and calm in a life. I like the ending to the excellent poem.

Where the natural impulses of eros are mixed with the death impulse, it avoids any sense of the natural rise of the life impulses and provides no other alternative but to work towards the experience of rebirth. A poem that points to resurrection in the lives of individuals.
