I Am Born

Out of tears I am born
A drop,
drowned amidst others

The ripples carry me through,
carry me across
Drops burbling around

I am born
And I am drowned
And I fuse

I embrace silence
My heart kisses death
And more tears come

I am born
And I die.
Tears of my own making

Maybe
It’s only to die
That I am born

Out of tears

Tears that flow
In my veins.

Blood drops down my cheeks
My eyes wallow in a pool
A pool where I am buried

In tears I am born

the first stanza made me remember the phoenix which is borne from its ashes!
i like the kind of psychoanalytical aspect of the poem.

your poem is undoubtedly exquisite...but the most intriguing part of it, for me, is the full stop at the end...if i read in between the lines...the full stop alone englobes the whole of the poem! as i said before-e.x.q.u.i.s.i.t.e!
