Nature's crib

Nature's crib

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh

Nature's Crib:

I walked so lonely by the mountainside,

What uncanny thoughts have did I?

To reality, my heart fails to abide,

Walking in loneliness heaved a sigh,

Strolling through the flocculent wet land,

As the butterflies flutter on the moist flowers,

Beneath the big splayed tree I stand,

Not knowing I stood there for long hours.

Rain had come and laved things clean,

Little squirrels hop by the swift stream,

For the prairie looks fresh, ever so green,

The river flows bright, in sunshine gleam.

Never was I in such a euphoric whim,

Deeply involved with the lovely sight,

Forgetting how I was dull and dim,

Now admiring the clouds so white.

Feeling of loneliness was never again felt,

In natures crib no being is outcast,

For that’s where our heavenly Lord dwelt,

And gifted us with Mother Nature so vast.

Great wisdom in your words. Nature is a gift for the wise in heart and in vision. I like how the story became complete with the strong ending. Thank you for the outstanding poem.
