Moment so special!!

The sun rose above the horizon,
Beaming in brightness with a smile,
Maybe it seemed so to me,
As I floated in my own joyous isle!
Eagerly waiting for that moment,
Everyone at home were busy,
Getting ready for that great event.
 
The hall festooned in bright colors,
With freshly bloomed flowers,
Friends and relatives gathered,
Waited till the end for hours.
I entered the hall with shyness,
With a mild smile looked at the groom,
The whole crowd will be our witness.

As he slid the ring in my finger,
Claps were heard, amidst the air,
People around me got blurred,
And it was only us who were there!
Heart raced and thumped in bliss,
The long awaited day had come,
And from now on I was totally his.

There are moments so special,
Always so close to our heart,
Which we treasure forever and ever,
From our mind it’ll never part.
Engagement is a day, which happens but once,
Something so special in our lifetime,
Whose memory always gives joy in tons!
