As I lay leisurely on ma bed, Beckoning my hubby to come near, Carefully showing him the bird, Decorated in bright colors, Elegant looks, Furious while the catching the prey, Gesturing him to watch the bird Hiding from behind the window, Ink blue colored bird flew from the tree, Jetted in high speed towards the pond, King in fishing, ah ha should admit! Lowering from its height, Made its way, sweeping in the water, Noticed a shiny silvery fish, Opening its beak, it sailed swiftly, Penetrating its beak into the water, Quick and easily catching its prey, Rushing away from the place, Splashing water all around, Tripping up in the air Using its feathery wings, it flew high, Vividly coloring a picture in ones mind With a memory that will never forget Xanthic orangish colored breast and belly, Yelling in satisfaction were its sharp eyes, Zeal to achievement of catching a fish!
Kingfishers are so amazing, and you bring a certain magic to watching one dance on air. It's so wondrous to write in this alpha form! So much work, but you make it seem easy. Excellent!
Wow I really liked this piece. Though I think you should try and find another word for board because in some places it get repetitive. I do love your descriptions in this!
what a vibrant poem -- very dynamic, with the kingfisher catching its prey... there's a lot of color in your description, which i like: 'ink blue', 'shiny silvery', 'xanthic orange' -- good word choices there... i think you capture the beauty and ferocity of nature... and those are just two lovely photos to set your poem off with.
