I was just a nomad, Walking along the streets, With a broken heart, An enervated mind, And, a forlorn soul, Searching for life.
I walked, walked all over, In search of bliss, In search of content, In search of pride, In search of life, Alas! I just found nothing.
Looking around me, I found no paradise, I found no sanctity, I found no peace, I found no esprit, Rather an empty space.
Finally jaded, I sat on my knees, A single drop of sweat, A single beat of heart, A single thought of realization, Opened gates to the world of all, The joy I found within "Myself".
An excellent poem of "self discovery." I had, often, thought every person should spend one week, every year, completely alone (void of human company.) We are so involved with being a part of "the" world that we lose sight of "our" world. This was excellently written and was easy to read. I enjoyed it!
A sad poem with the search for peace in a life. It seem we walk in so many wrong directions. I like the ending. In the end we must find understanding for deeds good and bad in a life. A outstanding poem. The story was strong.
