Wood

Wood

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh

In a forest so big and thick,

I found a stick,
Shining like gold,
Looked so old.

The stick smelled really so good,
Golden color wood,
Took it in my hand,
Dusted away the sand.

Around it I tied a golden swag,
Carefully placed in bag,
This stick so good,
Was golden color sandalwood!
