Naughty Ninny ☃ ☀

Naughty Ninny ☃ ☀

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh

                                  Naughty Ninny

Little ninny walked to school,

On the way she saw a pool,
Little ninny started to play,
Then her dress got stained in clay!

Never did her fear stop her from fun,
Forgot her school and played in hot sun,
Later she did take off her shoes,
On the road she heard cows moos.

To play barefoot was what she chose,
Little fish in pond nibbled her toes,
Giggling and wiggling she moved around,
Like a tiny squeaky bird she made a sound.

Enjoying her time, she jumped in joy,
She looked naughty like a little toy,
Water splashed and made her wet,
She was like tiny fish caught in net.

She went back home with mild fear,
Stood in front of mom and shed a drop of tear,
Her mom smiled and took her in,
Ninny walked in with a grin………

I like the joy in this piece, seeing through a child's eyes, the wonder of splashing in puddles, it's a nice innocent poem and a sweet reminder to keep the wonder!
