Friendship Day

The road was lonely as I was walking,
There I met you holding a dog loudly barking,
Hours melted like ice,
And I know for you were my friend for life…

Together we crossed days and years,
To laugh with me and to wipe my tears,
I know you will be with me all the time for sure,
You best understood me even in times obscure....

We roamed even on heavy rain and in hot sun,
The time together we spent was always fun,
Mid night call and long time talk,
We spoke for hours all round the clock....

In my life you are my lovely Fay,
I know we’ll be together even after our hair turn gray,
When each and everyday is special with you,
Do we really need this one-day fete friendship day? ? ? ?
