Hold On

Hold On

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh

Sometimes you need the space
To hide the sadness on your face.
Sometimes you need to be far yet stay,
To make them feel you’re away.
Sometimes you need the rain
To ease your thoughts and pain.
Sometimes you need it all,
When life is beyond the call.

Hold on
It's okay to fall,
Shine on,
You will stand tall,
light shines
through the thin crack
Pull up
Get back on track....

Don’t look back,
it’s okay. Don't give back,
Don’t say a word, it’s fine.
Your silence, too, can redefine.
Don’t shed a tear, it’s brave.
If you must, let it wash as a wave..

Sometimes you need to breathe it in,
To fight the storm that swells within.
Sometimes, you are all you seek,
A steady hand when you feel weak.
Sometimes, your courage lies unseen,
A quiet strength, a steady gleam.
Sometimes, that’s all it takes
To rise above what heartache makes.

Hold on
It's okay to fall,
Shine on,
You will stand tall,
light shines
through the thin crack
Pull up
Get back on track....

Don’t look back,
it’s okay. Don't give back,
Don’t say a word, it’s fine.
Your silence, too, can redefine.
Don’t shed a tear, it’s brave.
If you must, let it wash as a wave..
