Path Of Love!

Path Of Love!

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh

Path Of Love

Oh dearest, yes, the day has come,

My precious dreams I happily hum,

For there is nothing that is the same,

Our life is just a pretty game,

You know it well, and I know it too,

What matters is we've often missed the clue!

Come on, my love, and sing along,

Bring some peace with a happy song,

Our love has bloomed a tiny bud,

With our coming child like a twinkling star stud!

For love is tender love is sweet,

For love is more than a joyous treat,

Tell me you love me still more and more

Till the very end of your dear heart’s core,

Tell me your every heartbeat’s mine,

Not just once but every single time!

The sky is not just always blue,

So give me surprises without a clue,

As the sparkling stars glitter every night,

Lets make up after each and every fight,

This life that we live is for you and me,

The old aged future together we’ll see,

Wrinkly skin and every strand of hairs grey,

We shall still hold hands, merry and gay,

"Love is not when we are just young and good,
It stays even when old, for true love should and would!"
I agree with the lines above. Love should grow with time and life. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

This is a beautiful poem about love. I like the second stanza the best.

This is such a delightful post and immensely loving.. made me smile with happines for you and your husband. You're obviously so happy together and time's creeping slowly towards becoming a family.

Think your poem is lovely, its heart is radiant, truly. (You)

The rhyme scheme is good, but the meter seems off. I would edit the words a bit to make it flow better. But the visual imagery of long lasting love is well described. Overall very nice. :)

Love poetry IS a SONG OF THE HEART... I love the opening line, and I think the whole thing speaks more of true happiness and celebration than I-am-trying-to-please-the-professors-of-the-world!
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

Thanks for the share!
