Falling awayA Poem by shallimarRosephoto art Google imagesFalling
Away Like
a meandering menace deep inside Your
words were jaded and maligned Your
underhanded insinuations and Life
alterations came with a clever hand I
eluded myself to think you would conform My
heart and soul left in the dust Without
warning the curtain came down I
silently awaited the choice you would make The
screams of my musings left silent now When
conscience touched the clouds is was too late If
only you had regarded the distance between us I
became overshadowed, shackled by your
memory Still
I fell into it dreaming of forever My
dreams now scattered to the wind I
was saddened by uncertainty Still
I pulled toward destruction Only
to become something other than myself Craving
more relevancy I begged Thoughts
of my life transformed Like
power emitted from words We
could have leapt into inherent brilliance But
you allowed digressions indecisive direction to prevail And
it was I who felt the weight of the story Your
truths crashing down around me I
find myself buried in the remains of my dreams And
I can finally see the troubled truth You
were never really here to begin with © 2007 bj Smith
