When all is said and doneA Poem by shallimarRoseNever try to time erase, keep the faith and slow the pace Times too short I comprehend, far too short from birth to end Bewildered by the pages turning, I find the calendar less discerning The little things I took for granted, I'm faced with now, the less enchanted For time does surely take it's toll, In Just one blink we'll all be old In just one second things can turn, So try your best to lessons learn Tell your children every story, Smell the rose and morning glory Seize the moment when it's right, Don't give up a worth-while fight Have a dream? You must pursue it, Don't just talk about it, do it Times too short to play around, It sneaks up on you, not a sound If music's playing dance the dance, Don't sit out and lose your chance Don't forget to be forgiving, Life is short but still worth living Keep each promise that you make, Learn to give and not just take Treasure each and every day, It won't be long, they slip away When all is said and done it's known, You'll reap the seeds of which you've sown © bj smith aka shallimarRose
