Blue Velvet Nights

 

Sail with me on blue velvet waters

In the soft and subtle night afloat

You and I as one will remain

 

Shooting stars will guide our souls

through purple hues in black night skies

Where blue velvet meets blue velvet

 

In a seascape of horizon let us bask

in the cool salt breeze we will escape

and lie mesmerized in each others arms

 

Softly lay skin on skin

blue velvet on blue velvet

and eye to eye, you and I

 

Forever on this excursion called life

 forever sailing this sea of love

in this vessel we call marriage

 

Forever embraced,

forever in love

forever in your arms

 

When the words I do

may not always mean forever 

know this

I did, I do, I always will

wow another timeless love poem...some beauties on here today..and this one is one of the best...

third line i would eliminate the "we" a bit trippy in the read, and unnecessary i think...

but otherwise...the intensity just builds and builds in this piece.

Thank you Sam.... I see so much tht does not last any more.. All of my family are single again or married a second time. ? why do vows mean so little? I have no idea... It makes no sense to take them if your not going to take them seriously.. I wrote this for all to contimplate the meaning.. I am glad you enjoyed.. xoxo

Love it... when we are with someone enough we won't always be in a good loving mood but that doesn't mean we don't still love them. We just makes sure to remind them so they don't think we take them for granted.
