Empty

Empty

A Poem by shallimarRose
"

I can't remember when or why I penned this...

"

on a dark and dreary night

silent she lay awake

wishing on forbidden stars

pondering her mistakes

swollen eyes bid not farewell

 for another day might plan

to steal away from boredom's tomb

and loose the bird in hand

forlorn and somber sightings

you may have seen her there

she flew among-st the Ravens nest

and carved her own despair

her laughter was insanity

her smile beguiled a king

her death may be untimely

 will remorseful mourners sing

bewildered are the watchful

they know not what this means

to sit and watch ones life become

ominous in her dreams

she could not see reality

her mind beyond repair

burned beyond the edge of faith

her gaze an empty stare

but from a far he appeared. she blinked just to be sure. Yes, there he was. he was not just a figment. All at once, at that single instant there was emptiness no more.He held her tight, and said, ponder not on mistakes, ponder not on what could have been. I am here now, and forever more. xxo00

The darkness of this write penetrates the mind... a search for something within the lines... the emptiness is felt... yet...leaves one to ponder the ending...
