from the archives..

I am the barefoot poet

writing on the front porch swing

the naked dreamer

stretching in the morning sunrise window

I am the music box dancer

dancing in the rain

the country singer

two stepping barefoot in the kitchen

I am the cotton house-dress

that lay over my naked silhouette

I am the yellow rose

perhaps one day you will plant me

outside your bedroom window

that in Spring I may brush against the glass

gaze upon you

and you will take pleasure from me

open the window and inhale my scent

A very unique mix of idyllic and sensual...I liked the repetition of "naked" and the connotations of what lies beneath the dress, outside the window, and so on...the sense of yearning is pretty palpable here as well, I'm pretty good at sympathizing with that :P Beautiful work my friend.
