Intuits Interpretations

Intuits Interpretations

A Poem by shallimarRose

His how do you do was prim and proper

her shy hello came with an inward smile

that first message

 just a few sentences

a few lines of innocence

hello and good bye

glad to make your acquaintance

but something meshed

something just fit

a strange feeling

they had perhaps met before somehow

in another realm

another universe

another lifetime

they find themselves oddly drawn

unexplainably attached

(Attached  :adjective

joined, connected, bound)

by feelings unfamiliar

yet strangely familiar

same place same time

becoming a mutual aspiration

He finds himself lingering

hoping to catch a glimpse into her soul

she watches patiently

though eagerly awaiting his return

she cannot resist thoughts of his fingers

tapping ever so lightly across the  keyboard

him aroused by each carefully placed exclamation

unexpected desire

wondering what it would be like

to see the face behind the monitor

to be touched by longing fingertips

on the other side of the keypad

the other side of their worlds

The chase, the charge

like a million volts

each electrified by this curious attraction

of someone they have never met

barricades are constructed

defense mechanisms in place

recognizing the dangers

while acknowledging

an unmistakable feeling

of heightened awareness

playfully but carefully choosing words

till metaphors dance around

 intended interpretations

and unintended sighs

  boundary lines drawn and balanced

the real story  though

in the spaces

between the lines

and the intuitus

interpretations

of words never spoken

A very sweet write, SR.

It's a tad amusing because I've totally fallen in love with someone whom I've never met.
I've experienced that connection 'in the spaces between the lines and the intuitus interpretations of words never spoken'. Unfortunately, we never did meet.

The stanzas are exciting, romantic and familiar. Loved this. :D

A "love connection" through cyberspace - though it's so hard to know if that person is being who they truly are...
A well-written tale of modern romance!

those are my favourite lines. It ties it altogether perfectly. I love this poem a lot, almost like a modern love story. Quite similar to mine. I met my boyfriend of 3.5 years on the internet and for the first 9months we never met. but as I said, we're still together 3.5 years later.
You did a great job at capturing the events that play out in the mind and feelings that are hard to explain in that sort of situation. good job, im shelfing this one

Haha Love-online. Technology is really pacing! xD
You're welcome! :)
First, before I forget...perhaps increase the font size a little, I had to strain to read it, especially since it was in an italicized form.

Okay, onto the piece...absolutely lovely. The idea of a chance meeting and the prescense or existence of "soul mates" is something that is quite incredible to me. You use a lot of beautiful words, and your form was also quite nice--I enjoyed the addition of the parentheticals and definition. You have a way with words, my friend, and these spoke to my heart.

i like this almost was relationship of soul mates...

one thing though..the definition of "attached"---

i like that but it feels out of placed or forced, i think if you did that later in the poem with another word...there would be more of a symmetrical feel...

just thoughts...

it's an enjoyable piece.

Soul mate perhaps? May be they were the love not meant to be.
I enjoyed the ending though:

The knowing but never hearing. Very cool. Silence can say a million words if you let it.
Thank you for the read request. Awesome read. Delightful write.
