Alone, the three of us

Just me myself and I

We watch the sun rise and set

We talk among-st ourselves

And I realize

Sometimes I

am all I need

Solitude!

I love the feeling in this piece, the overall concept that is driving forward the idea that a person can actually rejoice in the feeling of solitude. Sometimes being alone with our own mind is the best thing for a person; we are able to truly understand ourselves in these moments. Beautifully done.

You are very prolific. I think you have mobile devices with you always, so you can write anytime, anywhere. Sad, when you wrote solitude?The only way you can get me on top of that large stone is when you promise you'd treat me to java frappucino at Starbucks.lol. No, i changed my mind. There appears to be a shark near your feet. Opps. yeah, it's a shark all right.

No I was not sad when I wrote this.. Nor had I seen this picture.. I found this picture yesterday. I love this photo because if you look close she seems to have clouds surrounding her not water.. so she is very much away from everything and everyone.. re: prolific... No no mobile device... I am home all the time with my laptop.. I care for my aged mom and cannot leave her alone at all.. Writing has always helped me keep my sanity... A lot of what I post I am posting as I edit for my book... I must have five or six hundred poems in this computer.. (backed up on cd rom )...
