Grieve me Not..

As I leave this earthly home

and lay me down to rest

I hope you know your not alone

this is not a final quest...

I'll be there in the morning

when sleep is in your eyes

I'll be there in the wisp of wind

and on the wings of butterflies...

I'll be there in the tepid rain

I'll be there in the starry nights

I'll be there in the rainbows glow

and on the hummingbird in flight...

I'll surround you with my love

caress you as you sleep

my body is no longer mine

my heart was yours to keep...

Remember you are not alone

and feel me with your heart

let memories surround you

for these do not depart...

and when you close your eyes at night

and say your bedtime prayer

I hope you know that you are loved

and that so many care...

So I ask you, grieve me not

don't stand beside my grave

but raise your eyes up to the lord

and sing his godly praise...
