Words to Ponder

Words to Ponder

A Poem by shallimarRose
"

Free falling poem... As a writing excersize I sometimes set the egg timer at 3 minutes and just let my words free fall from my ink.. This was one of those poems.. Thank you for reading...

"

 Free Fallin' Words

Why, why,

Hear me cry,

Words un-heeded,

Deeply seeded

Segregation,

Degradation,

Causing such

abomination

Too much passion

For thy fashion

Unbridled guilt

Scales that tilt

Fantasying

Minimizing

 Seems to me

Demoralizing

Falling falter

At thy alter

Generosity

By atrocity

Soul stealing

None are healing

Lofty lies

In devils eyes

Lips that savor

For thy flavor

A broken soul

Lay half not whole

Time amiss

For silence bliss

Time don’t squander

Words to ponder…

tempo fast and furious. many lines sent me on my own line; of thinking that is. for me a strong, moral, social and political statement. do you do rap also? :)

Thank you Demme... xo
I have been looking for poetry exercises to get the creativity flowing. Might be fun to see what my little brain drums up in 3 minutes. This flowed really well. Angi~
