Color my world (from God's Pallet)

Color my world (from God's Pallet)

A Poem by shallimarRose

Color My World

from god's pallet

In this world of turmoil and strife

I think of the colors he gave this life

and it's these colors that I find

are what make this earthly home divine

his skies pallet of the softest blues

sun rises and sets in many hues

of opalescent purples and pinks

orange and gold’s from gods own ink

He painted the oceans of this earthly home

in shades of blues and soft sea foam

with silvery white the wave caps peak

and graze the satin sands so sleek

The beaches are done in tones of tan

where pearly pebbles grace the sand

seashells shimmer in pearly whites

the lightest grays paint gulls in flight

He took his brush in gentle strokes

where rain had washed the mountains cloaks

then let the grass and trees grow clean

in many shades and hues of green

the  tulips, iris, orchid, rose

a grand array for these he chose

with each and every stroke he placed

he painted our world with heavenly grace

A beautiful concept. Colors...truly one of the most enchanting parts of life. This speaks to the fact that people need to stop and look around more often; truly take in the color of the trees and flowers just as deeply as they take in the color of the asphalt and the paint on cars. It is all beautiful...there is even beauty in the things that we may not think of as traditionally beautiful. Thought provoking piece indeed.
