He said She said...

He said She said...

SHE

She sits on the edge of everywhere

She knows not what she's done

She weeps for all that’s lost to her

And yearns for times begun...

She ponders words unspoken

She cries for lessons lost

Her heart is nearly broken

For all that mankind has cost...

She wonders why they wonder

And cannot see their blame

She angers with the thunder

And weeps in waves of rain...

She tries to shelter many

But many disappear from sight

She feels the filth of all mankind

And shudders at their sight...

She wishes for redemption

She hopes for recompense

The outcome of invention

Has killed her own defense...

Her time grows ever nearer

The end will surly come

If mankind does not hear her

Her battle can't be won...

HE

He sits upon his mountain

He holds us in his grasp

He knows that we depend on him

He knows we wish he’d last…

He follows us through childhood

He makes the teen grow tall

He carries us through wonderment

He owns us one and all…

You can see him in the sunshine

You can’t stop him if you try

You can try to hold on too him

He’ll still go right on by…

He’s always in a different place

But knows the dusk from dawn

You often look him in the face

And wonder where he’s gone

Sometimes he’s not too flattering

He’s never far away

The way he moves is staggering

One second as a day

We watch in sheer amazement

We can’t figure where he’s gone

Our children are the proof of him

They show how he moves on…

mother nature and time....we abuse one, and the other laughs at us as it flies by...

we all become weathered...man does it to nature and nature does it to us with the passage of time..

i like both of these..despite the rhyme...

not a big fan of rhyme...but there is love for it by many...and this is pleasing to the eyes of those who love the form...and i liked them despite.
