Emotional Hangover...A Poem by shallimarRosePosting a couple of rhymers for my friends David and Jack... ♥Emotional Hangover
Emotions flowing freely Just like the oceans rush I try to stop the feelings Indeed I feel too much…
The aftermath of knowledge I succumb to brain wave blur I didn't go to college To learn this language slur…
The moonlight comes too
early now My mind won’t let me sleep I fear the pain not knowing
how Indeed I feel too deep…
A lapse perhaps in judgment For lack of better tense I try to read between the
lines But none make any sense…
My coffee seems to try to
tell In mocha circles I do see The fairy pictures blown to
hell In waves of mediocrity…
Shadows written on the wall The words slide down the
side They run together with the
ink Of things I’ve tried to hide…
And mediocre feelings Of melancholia thought Abruptly take me over I forget the things I've sought…
Trembling in my passions A darker shade of grey And solitary fashions Are what I’ll wear today…
Beyond the point of no
return Rejuvenation taunts And simple thoughts of
yesterday Become the gift that haunts Written by bj smith aka shallimarRose copyright 2007
