Walking Through My Dreams

Walking Through My Dreams

A Poem by shallimarRose

walking down the path

of a thin winding road
deep breaths
honeysuckle & jasmine
adhere to the senses
........I feel
prisms of color
fluctuate
from bent angles
mirrored
........I see
reaching out
grasping
to hold on
........I touch
cotton muslin flows
as if the breeze could inspire
like a tented soul
encapsulated
........I hide
as if these next few moments
could make a difference
between two worlds
walking up hill
against the wind
I sink into the soft sands
of your warm embrace
I know
they will not
and still
you go walking through my dreams

Such an incredible play of lightness and struggle, restraint and surrender, like the perfect little recipe for a light, breezy dream from which you wake up in a cold sweat. A perfect, delicious and sweet cheese cake dessert which can be devoured guilt free. Yummy and delightful! I feel a vibe like a wispy jazz number with a really cool chick singing on stage along with a stand up base and saxophone. An inspired write!
