Gateway to Heaven

After breathless walks

in the park

Time to sit and relax

Admiring the landscape

The arches catch my fancy

Quick interpretation comes to mind

A symbolic gateway to heaven

An abode of God

Profound and arcane

Watch myself go

Through those arcs

Eyes closed taking deep breaths

Hands coming down to hold me

Feelings of hate and desire

Malice and Melancholy

all left behind

Keeping sanity and balance

O take me into the

Bay of blissful content

A space not imagined or perceived

The purity of attainment

Showers of fulfilment

Being one with the Lord

A gateway to heaven

An abode of God.
