Godess Kiss

A short love story of a Godess who place a cursed on herself and a Mortal Doctor

Gods, do they really exist? There is a belief they died because the mortals lost in faith in them, some said that they’re just an old story in rusty Mythological books created by our ancestors, but how would you react if you saw one of the Goddess in person? I was once a non-believer of Gods, but not until I meet her.

 A woman in braid hair stands on my bedroom window, wearing combat armor, carrying a shield and a spear, an owl in her right shoulder, she look at me, her silver eyes gaze upon me,  I still clearly remembers her words before she vanished  “at last, I finally found you ” After our short encounter, I couldn’t sleep, her image on my mind, I want to believe that it was just my imagination, or having hallucination, but no… it was real, My Curtains stained by her golden blood as evidence, She was real, The Greek Goddess of Wisdom, Courage, Inspiration, Civilization, Law and Justice, Strategic Warfare, Mathematics, strength, Strategy, Arts, Crafts, Skills, Favorite Daughter of Zeus, Virgin Goddess of Many things Athena.

The next thing I know it was  morning  already, I stare at my window, the golden stain are still there- it wasn’t a dream, I reached for my phone, it has a single message  from my girlfriend Jaciella, that she was coming here, it’s been five years, I was away, servicing my  country as a military doctor, I missed her, she’s the only one I had since we are both came from orphanage, I have also plan to proposed to her later, I took a bath and change I heard the sound of doorbell, I hurriedly opened my bedroom door i stumble as I saw a woman in white chiton, the next thing I knew,  I’m hugging a Goddess, her floral scent clears my mind, I saw Jaciella runaway but I couldn’t let go of this Goddess to catch her. “Kelvin” I frightened as I heard she speaks, the voice through really deep to my soul, my arms suddenly released her, I placed my hands on my faced and takes a deep breath, I dialed Jaciella phone number, three rings before she answered, I heard a sniff from the other line, I’m guessing she was crying, “I’m sorry, i runaway, i-I just don’t know how to react” her voice is shaky though she was trying to laugh, “No, I’m sorry, I’ll explain, can we meet?”  I asked, but her answer breaks me, “Its ok, I know you’re busy, I just wanted to see you, that’s why I came to visit you and also I want to give you an invitation of my son  second birthday,  I just left it in your mailbox, I’m hoping to see you there, bye”  then she hang up, what the hell happen when I was away?

It hurts to think those five hell years I spent on the camp, Jaciella marry another guy, she didn’t fulfill her promise to wait for me, I cried and kneel on the ground, “I’m now alone” I laughed and cried as the same time, I raised my head, I saw the Goddess standing in cross arms while looking down on me with a serious face, yes this is all a dream “I have to wake up” *pak* it hurts, someone slaps on my face “I think you’re awake”  she said and smiled, I was mesmerized by her beauty, a really Goddess indeed, I just stared at her for a couple of minute, She sat and hugged me, I cried she was rubbing my back and she kissed my forehead, I feel relieved and stress free, all my pain had vanished, I fell asleep.I woke up and a pair of silver eyes surprised me, I slept in her lap, I sat properly beside her as I pat my head, “Tha-anks” she just look at me and says “I want to study this modern realm, will you take me outside sometime?” I just gave her a nod, I saw her smile again.

People gazes are on us, on her specially, her Goddess beauty in twin braided hair, wearing a white simple dress and a pair of white sandals attracts the crowd, we went to the mall, restaurant, park and now we are resting on the sand of the beach, “this realm has a big change, Zeus will be surprised I tell him about the modern mortal realm” she said while staring at the stars  “ahm, you-“ she placed her pointed finger on my lips to stop me “Say my name Kelvin” she said seriously I gulp “A-A-Athena” she laughed “you are funny” and she just keep on laughing, she instantly stop and look at me seriously “Mount Olympus has fallen centuries ago, we  Gods receives divine punishment that we deserved, we are forbid to cross realms, Aphrodite and I the only Goddesses in the mortal realm and we can just cross if we died in this realm” she threw a shell on the sea and screen like pops up, a war scenes, death bodies covered in golden blood  “you were right, there are no longer gods and goddesses” I held her hand she look at me in surprised “ no, I was wrong, there still here right in front of me” she pat me and stand up she extend her hand “come on non-believer, let’s go home”

 A year passed by we are together I was able to move forward and achieve my dream to opened a clinic for poor people cannot afford hospital bills, she even help me with my patients, it was full moon, I saw Athena on my bedroom window, her looks was like the first time I saw her, I was panicked I saw drops of tears fell from her cheeks “te-thank you, I always thought that saying goodbye to the one you love is easy, but this is really hard than accepting defeat in a war” she said forcing  to form a smile  “why are you saying goodbye?” I shouted “I have no reason to live in this realm, now thatI’ve  learn to love a mortal like you” I kneeled at her “you-you’re the reason I’m not anymore alone, I was able to recover and move on, You bring me focus to my new dreams, here, now or never, listen to me Goddess Athena, I’m Giving myself to you, cause I know as long as you are there, that is where I meant to be” I stand up and held her face she’s started to disappear “As you can see I am going to disappear, this is my cursed I placed on myself” she said in crack voice  “Athena please stay withme, don’t leave me or take me with you” her arms and legs are disappearing “I’ll  promise to love you and care for you, I will be always honest with you, patient and forgiving” her body disappears that leaves her  shoulders and head “I-I love you Athena” I said between my sobs “thank you” her silver eyes covered in tears, “if only I’m not a fool to place a cursed on myself”  she said and I felt her lips press on my lips before she completely disapears, and she’s gone, I shouted “Nooooo!!” “pleased don’t leaved me” I cried “Why are you sad?” It was Goddess Aphrodite, “She’s gone” I replied in trembling voice “Who?” she asked “A-A-thena” I heard her laugh and she says between her laugh “ I knew this will happen, as the Goddess of love, I won’t let a it happen” I look at her so this could be- “she will stay, she was able to accept love and even kiss a mortal” and I saw Athena smiling at me, She gave me a warm embrace, all I can do is to pray that we’ll last for eternally.
