Chapter 2: Falling in Love

Chapter 2: Falling in Love

A Chapter by shahzad roopani

It was in the early semester when I met a girl, her name was Gina, and she soon became my friend, and I fell in love with her. We used to bring smile on each other’s face, we studied together, used to go for lunches, dinner and roam the city without any purpose. She was perfect, as another part of me. We both took classes together, she helped me a lot in my assignments as well, so the semester passed and ghost of that guy was passed long, with not even the trace of him. Suddenly he disappeared, I seen his friends doing their same activity of writing something, but that guy he was not with them anymore, so I didn’t bothered any longer, since Gina had consumed all my attention.

In my 2nd semester me and Gina had took same subject, among which philosophy was the subject i was first unwilling to take, but Gina forced me to do. First day of class I reached early, and put my book to my next chair which was at my right side to reserve next seat for Gina, slowly class started to fill, and in 5 minutes all seats were occupied, except one to my left. As class started Professor Ezira Mikael, One of the best faculty my college ever had, asked the meaning of philosophy, we were looking at each other, when class door opened and that guy entered in to the class, the strangest thing I noticed about him was his smile to professor Ezira Mikael, and professor smiled back, Some kind of acquaintance they might had, he didn’t even looked anywhere else and settled just next to me, and raised his hand half bent as he was at home and relaxing on chair, “yes Rizaan”- professor answered his call, “Love for wisdom” he answered.

Transcending lights from his eyes could easily be felt, as it overshadowed all the others. As a late comer in class professor made him stand in front of the class and asked him “Why don’t you enlighten our class with your thoughts” he was there with slight smile and eyes bright wide, “I believe it will help you to come in class on time from onwards”- added Ezira Mikael

Rizaan within no second started to recite some sort of poem I guess, he never hesitated or thought for a will, he just started:

Such are my desires to wait for a while,

Such are my desires to go away,

Things which I meant never to say,

Such are my desires all it to say.

Time has never passed in my soul,

But it all seem to have passed all long,

Such are my desires to hold it back.

There are days of Lights and sometimes Nights,

Such are my desires to see both at once,

To sing in wind, and in snow..........

Thats great Rizaan- interrupting professor in middle,

That day we were all thinking about what had been done with us, were trying to understand that what have made him say such desires of him in front of everybody without hesitation, Has he possessed art of hypnotizing? Of course not! We were young and easily be fantasized by anyone having confidence of that sort.

Months passed, when he approached my girl friend, and in no time I began to feel jealous, Gina was pretty, and smart, and fun, any one could fall for her, so did I consider Rizaan the same.
