Maybe one day.

Maybe one day.

A Poem by Ken Baldwin

Shattered heart,
Shattered dream.
I tread, carefully,
So no one can see,
In how much pain,
I truly be.

Whirlwind romance,
Enraptured soul,
I was broken,
Not long ago.

She kissed my scars,
and healed them all.
Gave me hope.
I stood tall.

Again it crumbles,
I fall back down.
In low self esteem,
My heart does drown.

She gave me hope,
Then took it away.
The pit of despair,
Darkness envelopes,
Gone, my light of day.

I had strength,
Now I've none.
I'm so cold.
Without my sun.

My love doth smolders,
Awaiting her return.
Maybe one day, again,
Our true love will burn.

I like your writing style because it always what i used to aim for but never really conformed to or really got down right. This is my favorite thing you've put together, and the favorite thing ive read in the past few months. This really hits home, which totally sucks.
