It makes me feel, feelings I haven't felt in a long time. I can feel the urgency in the mothers request to her daughter to just know that despite her demons she will fight tooth and nail and prevail to love her daughter come, what, may! I can relate to this piece as I have a rocky relationship with my dad who was addicted to drugs almost all my life and I wish he wrote this for me, just this much would make everything okay you know? Great write.
