Holiday AloneA Poem by .:Arianna:.
I ate
all the candy you sent me, in an envelope full of promise, as I waited for more than just a letter. The city comes to life, dancing to the early night, new aroma's rise, new flavours tried... But I need the flavour I know best. Did you get my postcard? I can't wait till you do. The room I stay in is very small. But two would fit easily! Just don't bring any luggage... Here we are, exchanging letters, like renaissance lovers. From a new side of the world. Just not the same one. And I count the stars in our whoniverse, your poems in my hands, haunting my fears, giving me peace. It makes no sense, going on a holiday alone, when your destination is back home.
