The Man by the Beach House

The Man by the Beach House

A Poem by .:Arianna:.

The man,
by the stairs
of that beach house: Who is he?

Fire,
like the one
in his dark eyes
elsewhere you won't see burning...

Burning me.

Eyebrows low,
as if on them
are sitting years
of suffering.
Secrets kept,
like precious stones.

They look at me,
and I can see:  They know.

They look at me,
still,
with silent passion,
that kisses my soul.

He knows,
and I long to understand.
Share that secret,
as if thus I shall unlock his heart.

As if thus,
I shall share the burden
of his grace.

As if thus
   I shall be
     part of his dream,
         as he is,
                        of mine.

This is beautiful. You capture the moment two people see each other and wonder.
Love this
" Fire,

Burning me."
