Ruins and Monologues

Ruins and Monologues

A Poem by .:Arianna:.

What a shame it is,
to dwell
within a garden I can't share.
And sit on ancient columns,
covered by moss of olden days.

How pitiful you do not know
the path to lead you there...
For there is no other place
as beautiful as mine.

The flowers here
are blooming
for ember eyes unseen.
And the honey drips luscious
right from the petals of my dream.

The sheer naked Truth
that's waiting for you
to hear,
I love you
and I need you,
for all in here seems withered
without your touch.

It is a shame to be trapped in the realm of antiquity while others take different paths. If only they could no the way, but they have no ability when love is not requited.

However, I suppose that some just can not get free to see the exquisite beauty of the Eden they could have. I think the same is true for the person your speaker directs her comments too.

I love the landscape you create. It is exceedingly beautiful. I especially like the lines "And the honey drips luscious/
right from the petals of my dream."

Well done!

I absolutely love that first stanza, so nicely written and such a strong metaphor!
