TemptationA Poem by .:Arianna:.
Her body swang,
serpentine, to a music unheard, but rythm created, in breath and heartbeat... Racing, embracing before him, for him, and for the night only... For when day would dawn, she would be gone. And he would lock his wild heart, take over... He'd wear his brown robe, silent... He'd sit at the table, breaking bread, as the first rays of light, newborn hope, would scatter through the thick glass window. Pushing darkness to exile... and so with it, his heart... He'd won again. But for how long would she haunt him? When one starts to doubt, is when weakness finds a chance. When one starts to wonder secrets in the dark, unconfessed... ''What if...?'' Down the tower, he'd descend to the chapel, slowly. The echoes of his lone footsteps, forming words, whispers around... Guilt, is a strong enemy, creating fears that are not there. As he would look into hs brothers eye, and think... They know... The cross would be the only thing close to his chest. He'd freeze his face to a contemplative smile, of grateful satisfaction. He needed nothing else, but what he had... And too soon, would the golden sun flee to the West again! Abandoning him to the mercy of the night. He'd pray pray, pray, and he would cry... Unwilling, he would shut his tired eyes. And from the haze of vanity, through mist and murk, she'd rise glorious and grand. And in one mere second, she could make him watch her pagan dance. The flames in her hair, the silk round her thighs... She could make him drown in her gaze forever, until dawn brough upon never, just for now... For when day would dawn, she would be gone. And he would lock his wild heart, take over... © 2011 .:Arianna:. |
