104A Poem by .:Arianna:.
You and I,
love of mine, are going to be 104, together. And after that, we will be what we cannot now. I promise you. With all that I have. In advance, i want to tell you, remember that tree, in the middle of the poppy field? The one that never grew leaves, and we'd spend endless hours singing to it, trying to heal it... Underneath it, I will wait for you, alright? You will know when. You will feel, my last breath on your chest, you will even think for a moment something slid underneath your sheets, next to you. And then just look for the tree. I will make sure it is in the heart of August, I will be wearing a white dress, and bear flowers in my hair, cascaded with the dew of your tears, still fresh from your realising, I passed... And when you appear, out of the tall grass, hold me, and never, you hear me, never let go. Until that tree bursts into the greenest leaves. © 2011 .:Arianna:. |
