*Nocturnal*

*Nocturnal*

A Poem by .:Arianna:.

I hold my breath....
as night approaches...

And hope the rhymes will return...
I have no time and so much to learn.

A picture of you on the black wall
seems as if you stare at me..
You don't stare at me...
You look right through me..

I didn't have the strength
to burn you..

I erased them all but one...
The one in which you don't know
i'm looking..
Such a marvelous sight i had
to freeze ...to make it last...forever.

I close my eyes
as the Polaris grows brighter..
and night steadily takes her hold..of me
and all who are not asleep.
I close my eyes...
But my mind is totally awake.
..though i am exhausted...

The Sandman forgot me tonight..
But it's alright...
I am a night type.

So
since the rhymes
are still lagging
i take another look
at your image
''why do i love this one so much??''

What charm does it behold that the rest
did not??''
--You are not smiling--
--Actually you look nostalgically away--
--I admit.....you are pretty in your pain--

I wish this night could take me with her..
here i have enough...
