Ophelia

Ophelia

A Poem by .:Arianna:.

His eyes are my requiems
of passion and of loss,
dark pits of my indulgence,
a coin I will not toss.

Let us not
waste any time,
let's fall asleep right now.
I want to kiss him in his neck,
and give him my last vow.

A promise echoes from afar,
of one who's coming home,
I never knew I had a beat
until I read his poem.

The words were chains,
the words were bars,
but still they set me free,
until he drowns me in his ink,
I will never be me.

ahhh yes...I could slumber away in your words. Precious dreams that visit our hearts when half awake. Her muse provided a pulse...a reason to breathe...

if in my final breath
my eyes would kiss
this lovely poem
it would hold me
in its arms
and take me,
softly home

(((You)))
