Forgotten

Forgotten

A Poem by shadowtigers

These regrets keep playing over within my mind
Tearing out the final shred of beauty
I had left from your last glance
My sanity was marred that day
You had tried to erase all memory of time
But how could I forget about the past
It was always tainted by your lies
And the faded love from your cold heart
Could never bring the light
Back to my eyes

I was disappearing into nothing
I was forgotten then
And could never be the same

Everything is like it used to be
Darker than that hell I knew
A lonely time for my soul
To try to grow
Among all the hatred
That I bare for you
Nevermore will I be that willing prisoner
For the hell you put me through

While I was
Disappearing into nothing
When I was
Forgotten
And would never be the same

i dig this, it's got a great flow to it and you weave impressive images throughout. also, that last stanza there is a stroke of genius.
