Bed of Roses

Bed of Roses

A Poem by shadowtigers
"

When I woke up, I was crying, and where were you?

"
r

Hush now
My baby sleep
Watch the moon
Upon it's nightly sweep
See the stars
They glimmer and fall
Count those sheep
My darling
Why do you weep?
Let me wipe your tears away
Please
My baby hush
Think of castles
That far off land
Wish for that prince
Or fairy to come
To sweep you away
Over those hills of rolling green
Imagine those tears away
See the sky
Soft as velvet wash
Dragons soaring
As the leaves fall
Sleep now
Sleep
My love
Drift away on the fairest ship
On waters of blue
See the fish
As they swim away
Feel the cool sea breeze
Hush
Hush
I am here
Imagine the garden
With it's roses red
Hear the birds
As they sing
One endless song
Why my child
Why do you weep
Tell me
Please
What is it?
Me?
You miss me?
Since I've gone away
No?
That's not it
Then what is it?
You miss me
Since
Since what?
Since I have died..

I think this was really nicely written. It was cute and sweet and to the point. I agree with Kit Kat this is truly amazing. Good job. Thank you for sharing. :)

I can see a ghost rocking back and forth in a wooden rocker holding a sweet baby sleeping in solitude as a sleeping child twists in a nightmare among the living in a bed that is very real

Oooh... very dark! And I love the repetition, it makes me eager to know what's going to happen.

It twists from such a sweet lullaby into something much darker. You keep the great pace to it with the nice imagery
