Sweet Dreams

Sweet Dreams

A Poem by shadowtigers
"

you never realize exactly what you have, until it's gone forever

"
Sweet Dreams
my friend
none the kinder than I hold
In a fist
with a silver grip
feel it wash
over
in a tide of lightning and mist
float over the clouds
holding a glass of koolaid
and a .45
the sugar so thick
you can't cut it with you tongue
hold onto the coaster
or it will rip you out
of realities mind grip
just like Haley
so common
comet
sweet dreams
my friend lay low
so gently we don't go
away
so stop
thicken the fog with chalk
as you walk
head down to the ground
in silence
atop the bamboo ways
lit with stick on stars
inlaid upon the sky
so dark with dust
in a way
unknown
follow your path
with that abstract art
you hold beneath your heart
can't stop now
hold onto the coaster
or it will rub you out
of realities mind trip
just like Haley
be so common
my friend
sweet dreams
lay low
don't be so gently when you go
away
