Chapter One

Chapter One

A Chapter by Jesse Gonzalez

Chapter One:

The ground shook and the sky lit up in a variety of colors. Blue, Green,  Purple, Red, Yellow, Orange, and a little hint of Gray. It was beautiful and scary all at the same time. The sky looked as if it were purified and shaped into particles of another world; An alien world; a world far greater than anything imaginable.

He just couldn’t imagine something so amazing being so real and right before his eyes. It was as if his mind could not comprehend the intellectual nature of the mortal beings called humans.

They were able to see what he could not witness for himself. They, the humans and all the inhabitants of the world could see in color, while he could only see in black and white. He was forced to see things differently and have different thoughts and beliefs, so that he may one day suffer for all the things that he has caused in the past, present and future.

The sky brightened and shouted with a loud rattling sound. He could only feel his thoughts at this time and it was at this very moment when he fell to his knees in agony. He screamed out loud and spoke into the night sky with a cry of regret and self-pity. There was nothing worse that could be done to him. He was already living in his own hell.

He looked around and all he thought about was how much he hated the human race because of what they had done to him, but perhaps he had done it to himself? It was a never ending cycle of anger and hatred towards himself for letting the demons within get to him and trick him into a frenzy.

He knew just how evil the world could be; he witnessed it first hand. He watched as his father hit a woman and watched her pain. He felt the hand of a man who wanted to harm him sexually but did not, luckily. There were so many things people just did not know, nor would they understand.

No one would ever understand, how could they? They only saw him as being an odd person, and they saw him as weak. They had no idea what went on in his mind and how he planned to take over the world and completely destroy it because of all that people have done.

The sky screamed out "Gabriel!" He looked and there before him were the souls of those he had slain and sentenced to death. His persecution had not yet been public, but he knew that he would have a price to pay for all that he would do.

His lungs filled with air as he stood straight up, his head elevated towards the sky. He opened his mouth to scream, but he could not come up with the right words to say. He gasped, letting his air out slowly.

He was angry as always, but no one knew. They never knew, thankfully. There were times when he thought they may have noticed, but they didn't. He sometimes did things on purpose so that they could understand his being, but their mind simply could not handle such truth.

The color of his skin was golden bronze and his hair dark brown which looked black under the midnight moon. His hair was wavy and thick, and his eyebrows were bushy. His body muscular and full of power. His pectoral muscles were as hard as iron, his six pack looked like it was branded into his skin.

Underneath his suit and tie, you wouldn’t know he had a body like that. You wouldn’t even have a clue as to what was on his mind, unless you read his writings or witnessed and heard his speeches.

"Gabriel?" The woman next to him asked. He replied "Yes, how are you doing today?" She then said "Fine thank you. I couldn’t help but notice, you look like you haven't been sleeping, are you sleeping okay?"

He thought about it for a second, he almost laughed out loud but controlled himself and chuckled after replying "Nothing unusual in my sleeping patterns." It was funny to him because he's always had trouble sleeping. She told him to have a good day and they went their separate ways.

It is a harsh but profound description of a man entangled in societies woes. it is going to impact people in some way. Nice one indeed.
