A Tradgedy Unforgotten

A Tradgedy Unforgotten

A Poem by Shadow of Sunshine

A Tragedy Unforgotten

I look out my window,

And see her,

Walking in the shadows,

Tracing her steps…

She looks up at the sky,

Now empty

Pain enters her face,

As she is reminded

Of the day,

Her life ended.

I look out m window,

And see her,

Walking in the shadows,

Tracing her steps,

Rain starts to fall

Drenching her.

But she remains still,

Not moving an inch.

She looks up

And long black strips run down her face.

She suddenly collapses

And lays in the street,

Not a breath escaping her.

My face turns white,

And I feel the panic,

But I know,

That she is now happy,

Away from this place,

In a new place

Unknown to me,

Where she will live again.

Very emotional piece. With each line only being a few words it captures so much emotion. Great piece!

Sorry, I thought it was pretentious, especially the title. Good command of the language and flow, though.
