Forgotten Flowers

Forgotten Flowers

A Poem by Shadow of Sunshine

Forgotten Flowers

I lie in this bed,
Of forgotten flowers,
Waiting,
Waiting for what?
The world is passing,
And I’m still waiting,
Waiting for time,
To stop.
The fragrance of the flowers,
That I lie upon
Is rotten
For it is not flowers,
That I lie upon,
It is nothing
For I wasted life,
Just waiting,
And here I am
Not there
While I lie on my bed,
Of forgotten flowers.

Beautiful piece of work here! I really enjoyed your imagery and exceptional choice of words to convey emotions. Great work!

Very emotional, indeed. Tells of how much love can sometimes be so stupid. There are those who just don't know when to and move keep on waiting and when to stop on. Instead of describing it plainly, you used the flowers that has withered already, to depict that much time has already passed. Good Work.

Keep Writing. ^___^
