Life Too FastA Poem by MattDWe all aren't so different
Life Too Fast
As love’s put down to rest
And tears fall past your chest
You know good and well
How hard it felt
For them, it was all too much
But they smiled with every touch
Yet lifetimes only reach so far
That’s just how they are
He wanted to save all the poor
How can he look at this anymore?
Time leaves everyone so small
As their real purpose calls
All that we ever wanted to do
Was to just say to the dying few
That we hoped you knew
That we all loved you
She decided to just run away
And all she wanted was one day
Not to miss the memories
Of family she can’t see
They always cried for the lost
Because they didn’t know the cost
Of making love and friends
They see now, at the end
I feel it just like you do.
We both wish this world to
Become a better place for us.
That existence is a matter of trust.
That place is here, if you look around
And then tell me I can’t hear the sounds.
Realize everyone has their own message to find.
While holding the dreams of the world in their mind.
Right now he can help everyone trust one another
And end all the resistance to each other.
Now anyone can be all they can be.
Finally she has her family to see.
So there will be no resistance,
So there will be no distance,
To think of those passed
From life too fast
I, we, us, you, me, them, her, him
Everyone knows they go
Toward the light. So dim
At the end of tunnel, it shows
That this struggle of love and pain
For anyone and everyone
Is all that keeps anyone sane
Once our own time is done.
