Star

Star

A Story by MattD
"

the gift across universe and across our lives

"

A tiny star twinkled in the black of the night, it was like an angel. It was like consistent hope, for millions who would never see it. White as a dove, it was above everything. It was above the societies of people, it was above the pain of loss, it was above revenge, it was above the unknown, and it was smiling down. This star would perish; it had perished a long time ago, but the light it gave which was treasured by all of us: that will stay for just a little longer. But there were many stars though. In a sky that displayed the void of time, the universe, who would guessed that one twinkle would’ve caught our attention so we could behold all the stars the second this one dead star’s mark of light winked at us? All the stars sat above, watching us and them. They ALL twinkled, like the afterlife of our souls that someday would hopefully be able to take us onto another path after the mission of lives was over. Like hope, the stars were above everything, as light that everything gives off after its demise: purpose.
