Inevitable and beautiful

 

The Angel and the Cardinal

 

On the wings of a higher dream,

I begin to see

Our world is not as it seemed

What has happened to me?

Have they left us free?

 

Before any words were said, a cardinal

Flies overhead to help me find her.

The angel, I’ve seen her so alive.

Now I wait for her to return

As my mind causes strife,

As blood begins to burn

For what was so yearned.

In my head, she was girl

Yet my soul wonders if

I had just witnessed a Seraph:

The Angel

 

On the wings of a higher dream,

I begin to see

Our world is not as it seemed

What has happened to me?

Have they left us free?

 

Remember that angel that meant so much?

Talking to her on a bus ride, going down

Halls, she passed by on the other side.

As friends walking streets in town,

I talked with the angel; and inside

Our two hearts we found

A comforting calm all around.

Within the look of her eyes,

Every feeling in the world

Took off like an incredible bird:

The Cardinal

 

On the wings of a higher dream,

I begin to see

Our world is not as it seemed

What has happened to me?

Have they left us free?

 

Both have wings, so neither will ever stay.

They always from move place to place,

To show us lost items from our pasts.

We search all the corners of space,

Moving along just a bit too fast.

For that joy can’t be replaced.

And it will be in every soul of every race.

The two flyers were always there.

Mysterious and extraordinary

As can be, freeing us from shadows, via multicolored dreams:

The Cardinal

The Angel

 

On the wings of a higher dream,

I begin to see

Our world is not as it seemed

What has happened to me?

Have they left us free?

 

Gone and found again,

Their infinite cycle thrives

The harbingers of changed lives:

The Angel and Cardinal

 

Finally, I see them on the same path as always, as if waiting for me.
